Unit Circle Special: Radians

I discovered this really fast method of finding the radians of the unit circle this summer during Ms. Hogan's AP Calc Boot-camp. Ah memories. This method requires that you know two things:

  • The 30°, 45°, and 60° angles, and
  • How to add & subtract.

Simple enough, right? Now let's get started.

New Teaching Series!

I am thinking about adding a teaching series on my blog. I have had this idea for a while now, and today the first of many videos of clever math tricks shall comense. In theme with Ms. Hogan 's nickname for me, I am probably going to name the series "Math Extras" lol If I find time, today, I'll make a video about counting in binary code and a trig special on my uber-fast method of finding the radians of the unit circle!
I would love you guys' feedback on it. Get ready to learn!!

FIRST comes a team, then comes NASA...

YES!

This year the Robotics Club of the High School of Engineering & Science has decided to enter into the FIRST Robotics Competition. In previous years, we did not have enough members, support, or funding. However, this year, things have come together nicely. Our school's Principal is on board, and we have the Naval engineers down at NAVSEA backing us; even the Temple University NSBE chapter, across the street, is willing to help!

To fund our FIRST team, we are applying for a NASA FIRST robotics grant. As the robotics club President, I have  been tasked with writing the essays for the grant. I can't wait. I know it will be challenging, but I am sure it will pay off. Oh, and if you would like to support our team by scrolling down and donating via Paypal. A few bucks can go a long way if everybody pitches in.

Wish us luck :)
