The Month of "Do"

With the FTC season well under way, we have been working harder than ever to prepare for our Qualifying Competition on Saturday Feb 4.

It's our first year participating in the FIRST Tech Challenge robotics competition and making the transition from the Design phase to the Build phase has been an interesting challenge. Once we got our first prototype working it really motivated  us and made us believe that "we can do this." After that night, we kicked it up into high gear, building a working robot in a matter of a week, which allowed us to compete in the scrimmage last Saturday at Central High School.

That day was definitely a learning experience for all of us. We learned more about Judged Awards, how to prepare for the software and hardware inspections, what things to bring and what to leave at home, and so much more! All in all, it was an awesome day; we made some new friends and just had fun.

This month has been The Month of Do and I want to thank the people who have made it all the more rewarding: Firstly I would like to thank Mr. Koehler for being an amazing club sponsor. I would also like to thank: The NAVSEA engineers, FIRST, Central High School for hosting the event, and Say Watt for helping the Philadelphia area teams get off to a great start!
